Old Friends
A friend from Middle School found me on facebook yesterday this is a pieceof her email it was touching what she remembered...She said "I remember growing up and coming to your house to camp out. Your dad used to make those awesome gum/candy holders. I think I still have one at my dad's house somewhere. Also, I remember that neat wooden spiral thing that would turn with the wind. Not sure what it was called, but you were always so nice to share those with me. Your dad was very talented. Didn't he and your mom do those kind of things together? Wish I was artistic like that." I forgot about all those things he use to make and how many windturners or whatever they were we had on the front porch.

I miss ya
I miss it when daddy mowed the grass in every which way he wanted to, because he wanted to rebel from his grandma when he was little. She always made him mow grass in a straight path. So when he grew up he was bound and determined to mow the grass in zigzag, up, down ,sideways any way but straight. And cameron loved to ride along.
We always said we should have taken more pictures of daddy.
You know daddy was not perfect, but I think he was a stubborn man and it just took him a long time to warm up because by the time we were older and especially when we started having kids and he became a grandpa he became a softer man. He loved to bake cookies at Christams time and bake bread every Sunday while we were at church. I miss ya Daddy. Hannah the Hacker, Dennis the Menis and Ali oop, will always remember and love ya.

I remember always being a daddy's girl. I don't think I ever heard Daddy call me Amy it was always Ace. He had nicknames for us all. I did everything I could think of for Daddy to walk me down the isle for my marriage to Bill and to my surprise it worked he walked me down the isle and I even got a first dance with my Dad.
